So lately I have been pondering what has been going on in my life, with studying for school and taking extra online courses, studying for the CSCS, working on this blog, and even dating again. What does this have to do with fitness? Well, you will see soon enough.
I’m sure you have many things on your plate at the moment. Maybe you are trying to lose weight, or become a better cook, or writer, or want to learn a new skill, or are trying to get a boyfriend or a girlfriend, whatever. What I am trying to say is that, it is a GOOD thing that you have goals, multiple goals.
The Importance Of Having Multiple Goals
Many people seem to be fine with only having one goal, or they are perfectly content without having any goals and are unsure of what they want in life. I believe these people are truly holding themselves back by not having multiple goals they are striving towards.
Think of how beneficial working out is to multiple areas of your body. It gives you higher testosterone to produce more muscle (mostly if you are a guy), releases endorphins to make you feel good, burns fat, reduces stress and brings down your cortisol levels. It makes you feel better, look better and think better.
Well, having multiple goals does the same thing as fitness in terms of benefitting multiple areas of your life. When you succeed at something, you gain confidence and are inspired to succeed at something else. Success feeds on success and it builds and builds. From success you gain confidence and from confidence you can take on new challenges and have more success.
When you have multiple goals, you can attack them all. It is important to have multiple goals you are focused on, because success in one goal can easily be carried over to conquer your other goals. And guess what, this builds momentum and will give you continual success and the rewards that come along with it.
So remember, have multiple goals that you are focused on and that have meaning to you, work towards achieving them….and once you have completed a goal, you will gain confidence and will gain momentum to complete more and more goals and achieve greater and greater success!
